iCEE.fest 2018: over 3.700 participants turned Bucharest into Europe’s Internet Capital

Interactive Central and Eastern Europe Festival – in short, iCEE.fest – the event that brought to Romania the global players – Facebook, Google, The New York Times, Shazam, CNN or Netflix with the most engaging presentations about the hottest trends in digital and tech, closed its doors on Friday in Bucharest.

Tickets for next edition are already available, in limited amount with a generous discount, on the official website.

This year, over 3.700 participants (of which 30% were international attendees) had over 9 content streams to choose from and over  200 representatives of some of the largest worldwide companies, who delivered more than 95 hours of presentations and workshops.

Next to the top notch experts, the stage of the festival hosted independent speakers and trainers, internationally acknowledged for their experience and contribution to the advances of tech and digital.

Among them: Gerd Leonhard, the author of the top selling book “Technology vs. Humanity”, David Scheider, co-author of the comedy “The Death of Stalin”, futurist Simon Gosling (Unruly), Brian Wong, one of the youngest company leaders to ever receive funding from a venture capital firm and author of the “The Cheat Code” or Grant Sabatier – bitcoin millionaire and financial adviser – and many others listed here.

Besides the serious part, as usual, iCEE.fest was spiced up by stand up comedy gigs by British actor and comedian, Jeff Leach, the host of the event, as well as several concerts by Arme, The Mono Jacks and Suie Paparude in “The Summer Playground” – the fun and entertainment area of the festival.

The startups competition, “200 Seconds of Fame”, which closed the event, was won by  Clark (grand award, for their industrial smart glasses) and WakeZ (e-health section, for a portable device dedicated to sleep quality improvement).

The festival is organized in partnership with Orange and supported by BCR, Glo, Nissan, Kaufland, mPlatform, VTex, ENEL, Medlife, Freewheel / Comcast, Nescafe Dolce Gusto, Coca-Cola and many other partners.
