Wildbytes created the largest and most film-like Augmented Reality experience in Madrid

Comment

When you’re choosing Wildbytes in order to promote your products, you’ll know that something strangely good will happen.

Something like, let’s say, a walking dead will appear in the middle of the street. Or some super-heroes will gently ask your help in order to save the world.

Fox International Channels did that and the results were amazing: the most film-like Augmented Reality experience to date, created to promote the season premieres of the acclaimed shows The Walking Dead, Homeland, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Sleepy Hollow.

  • In downtown Madrid, hundreds of people were immersed in the universe of these TV shows in real time
  • Through cutting-edge Augmented Reality tech and visual effects, fictional characters were “extracted,” literally appearing among the crowd as if they were actually there
  • Four augmented reality micro-episodes were produced to convey the atmosphere of each show

“We developed a technique to analyze and extract the camera movements from the original shots, producing the same movements and cuts with the live cameras that captured the audience in real time’, Wildbytes about the project

This is the Making of teaser:

Wildytes is a creative studio and agency focused on the production of technology-based interactive experiences for advertising, cultural events and campaigns.

To talk about the agencies projects, iCEE.fest invited the Co-Founder and CEO from Wilbytes, Julio Obelleiro (who’s also a former speaker at the festival).
